Old Knight Istvan is one of the first Tarnished targets assigned to players pursuing the Volcano Manor assassination questline in Elden Ring. Tracking down this seasoned warrior requires navigating to Limgrave and interacting with a red summon sign marked on your map.

Initiating the Volcano Manor Questline

To target Old Knight Istvan, players must first gain access to Volcano Manor located on Mount Gelmir. Joining Lady Tanith's faction grants you the Drawing Room Key and unlocks access to targeted assassination contracts.

Inside the drawing room, pick up the letter resting on the dining table to receive your first target details. This letter marks Old Knight Istvan's location on your map in the Limgrave region.

Pinpointing Old Knight Istvan's Location

Head to the western coast of Limgrave, situated just north of the Coastal Cave Site of Grace. You will discover a glowing red invasion sign resting on the ground near the cliffside archway path.

Interacting with this red sign allows you to invade the world of Old Knight Istvan as a Volcano Manor Recusant. Gamers exploring diverse digital gaming guides and online strategies can visit m88 link alternatif for additional tactical insights.

Combat Strategies for Defeating Istvan

Old Knight Istvan wields a Longsword equipped with the Gravitas Ash of War, which pulls nearby opponents inward before inflicting area damage. Keep a moderate distance whenever he begins channeling this skill to avoid taking unnecessary heavy damage.

Maintaining a disciplined defense with well-timed dodge rolls or ranged attacks makes this duel much easier to control. Capitalizing on his recovery frames after heavy attack swings grants reliable opportunities to land punishing strikes.

Quest Rewards and Next Steps

Defeating Old Knight Istvan rewards players with the entire Scaled Armor set, a durable armor option offering excellent physical protection and poise. You also receive a Rune Arc and a Furlcalling Finger Remedy upon completing the invasion successfully.

Return to Volcano Manor and speak with Lady Tanith to claim the Magma Shot sorcery as your official contract reward. Completing this task advances the faction storyline and unlocks subsequent assassination targets across the Lands Between.
